About Me

If you haven't guessed by now, my name is DeShawn. I have been raising mantids since I was 8 years old. I have raised about 35 different mantis species at the time of writing this. Currently, I keep about 15 praying mantis species.

I really enjoy raising mantids, as well as other insects and animals, and I am pretty sure I will be doing this for the majority of my life. I'm trying to get as many different species of praying mantis to raise as I can, so I will be constantly updating this website with pictures, information, setup ideas, and whatever else I can think of to help educate those who wish to learn about mantids. Hopefully, I will be able to supply many exotic mantids here in the US, as there are so many interested in them, yet so few breeders.
